City of Kings is the first single off Internal Definition's sophomore album, Internal Affairs. City of Kings was Internal Definition's first attempt at bringing attention to the Inland Empire and getting the recognition that he and other artist from his area deserve. Los Angeles is no longer the only city in Southern California making noise in this Hip-Hop industry; the Inland Empire is coming to take what is rightfully theirs. ID lets his competition know that he will no longer take the backseat with lyrics like "Stay on your toes if your up at the top, cuz I'm on your heels coming straight for your spot, labels gas you up until your fuel line pops, and if you think your hot I'll guarantee your not". Internal Definition and the Inland Empire won't rest until the world recognizes them among the leaders of Hip-Hop in Southern California. City of Kings was produced by Curtiss King.
